Last week we talked about Actionables Articles. Actionable Articles are the first stone for helping engineers to build on Top of others’ work.

He visualized the software industry's evolution for solving problems across different sectors, and He was right. The software industry has created a better life for software engineers.
Software engineers are:
Earning more money than hardware engineers (Hiring a Full-stack developer is a very complex task)
They are building unique products in a matter of days
They need to update their knowledge every year
A Power Electronics engineer that dominates this book from 1994 is a current TOP expert in the industry. The evolution of how the articles are shared since 1994 is basically zero.
And the main reason is the difficulty of building on top of others’ work.
Software engineers use code from others all the time, while hardware engineers don´t. I think it’s due to the lack of infrastructure to find Actionable Projects for Power converters. Let’s see a specific example.
I was reading this book, and I found this article.
It’s very interesting. It was written by Lloyd Dixon in 1994, and it’s about saturable inductors and the circuits to reset the inductors.
I thought. I would love to simulate it and compare this solution with a multioutput flyback.
But, It will take me 4 hours to understand the article.
Another 2 hours to replicate the simulation.
And even like this, I couldn´t be sure if this is working because there aren´t Lab results.
Imagine finding Actionable Projects with hardware verifications. Ready to simulate your conditions and compare different options? Would that be great?
Probably someone is expecting Artificial Intelligence to solve that, but the reality is that first, we need to change how we work because…Will your boss trust you if you are using a project you found online?
