In the official Newsletter of Frenetic, I explained technical learnings and a summary of APEC. Here, I will talk about the emotions and the origin of my presentation: The Three SuperPowers.

One week ago I didn´t have any idea of what to say.

During the first two weeks in LA and SF, we visited some customers, and I studied which is the real reason why they bought Frenetic. It wasn't easy, but I realized something:

These engineers were improving much faster than ever their skills in designing Magnetics. Since I first met them, they have created unique designs and a deep understanding of the Rac phenomenon.

How do they make it? They practice every day as we do.

They told us that using Frenetic allows them to test ideas and review old designs quickly.

Then, I had an idea for my presentation. I was going to talk about the new SuperPowers these engineers had found. I prepared the presentation and my pitch during the flight trips. Finally, the day arrived.

Monday Plenary Session

The conference started Monday morning and we appeared at the Plenary session of Alex Gerfer (Würth CTO), and our booth was full of engineers testing our new version of Frenetic

Tuesday 11:00 am

I attended Lucas Nicieza's presentation about The Supply Chain of Magnetics, he did an excellent job, and the audience saw it.

I was very excited and nervous. My presentation will be at 14:30.

In the end, we are just a startup in an industry of established companies. Will there be a space for us? If we want to earn credibility, transparency and honesty are the only paths.

Tuesday 2:10 pm

I went to the room assigned to my lecture, I entered, and the guy from the manufacturer company Magnetics was doing his presentation. The room was around 30% of capacity.

I thought, ok, just 40 people are not too much, and I felt much relaxed.

Tuesday 2:28 pm

I went to the stage, uploaded my presentation, and reviewed everything was ok. People were moving around, entering, and going out of the room. Everything was ready to start.

However, the guy at the door makes me sign, wait, there are many people here…😳

Suddenly, many people entered the room…and in less than 2 minutes, the room was full. Whaaaaaatttt??? But, this is an Exhibitor seminar! In theory, no one comes to these presentations… ok…calm…I know my pitch, I will manage.

Tuesday 2:31 pm

The door of the room is closed and is full of people. My colleagues are in the first raw, some Frenetic followers as well…and I started my pitch with the following words:

I have made several scientific presentations at APEC, but today, in this exhibitor seminar, I'm here to sell. (Probably the first lecture using these words at APEC..)

But I'm going to be different, I'm going to be honest and transparent with you because honesty is the first value of Frenetic as a company.

Frenetic was created in Spain in 2015 and we offer SuperPowers to electrical engineers.

And I know you have doubts about us.

I'm going to be honest, First, I'm going to ask for your attention; I will present our product and In exchange, I will comment two designs (Flyback and Full-Bridge) with our strong points and our weakness.

And this picture was the second slide, where I introduced our SuperPowers.

I presented two designs that are already in production and verified.

A 65W active clamp Flyback with inductances and temperature verification at max power. The weak point: Interwinding capacitance, due to the construction deviation the model doesn't consider.

A 500W Phase Shift Full Bridge design with Inducante and Temperature verification at max power. Weak point, the design suggestion was a bigger solution with higher Llk.

After the presentation, there were some questions, and some people had very kind words to us. Of course, some people were using a not friendly face, and we listened to some bad words; haters were in the room as well.

However, during the afternoon, I received many messages and visits from enthusiastic engineers and classic ones. Bob White visited us and gave us very lovely words.

I received some messages on Linkedin during the afternoon as the one in the pictures below, and I felt pleased.

If you gave me $10M and asked me to repeat our successful APEC result, I couldn't accept it because it was totally out of my control. The dates, the attendees…a lot of factors with influence.

Our motivation has grown x10 and we are ready to continue working hard.

After the Rap Session of AI vs Conventional design, I have included a session of AI in our Training.

On the 20th of April we will have a Training course with the following program:
