✍️ I continue writing every week because of you, and even if I'm on a flight from Ontario (Los Angeles) to San Francisco after an exhausting week, I write this because I know you will read it.
🤯 This week has been crazy. We have visited nine companies in 3 days in Los Angeles area. I'm very impressed by those companies' work; I love being part of their journey.
🇺🇸 During this time in LA, I met a friend at Redondo Beach, and I have to say, I love that place! I could live there!

I will share the announcements we will make during the next ten days due to the APEC conference.
As most of you know,
the vision of Frenetic is to boost the expertise in Magnetics in Power Supplies to the engineers. To do that, we have created a Product called Frenetic Online,
which consist on:
Online Magnetic Simulator- You can work with your peers on designs and share them.
Advanced Engineer Support - Magnetic Experts will collaborate with you to get the cost/effective magnetics, verifying the thermal and manufacturing process.
Samples - 12 samples/year of different designs.
To continue empowering those attributes, we listen to our users, and we have developed some new features...here we go!
✅ Magnetic Datasheet: A complete description of a Magnetic component: it's automatically created to be shared publically or privately.
✅ Winding Losses: We show the results of the losses specifying the effect (Skin effect, proximity, or DC).
✅ Improvements on the suggestions: We are improving the suggestion generator with real experimental cases.
✅ Library of Designs: - We have created a library of designs you can simulate and order. If you are a great designer or manufacturer, your designs can be part of the Library.
✅ Finder: This feature will recommend for your specs, designs from the Library.
✅ Manufacturers profile: We have the best manufacturers as users of Frenetic, and now, they will be able to upload their designs to our Library, allowing users to simulate and order those components.
✅ Beta Version available: We have created a Beta version with all the models which are still under lab verification, like the temperature. This version will be accessible only for a selected group of users.
✅ Verification Process: The best way to accelerate the process to move a project to hardware is to verify the viability of the hardware by a hardware engineer.
✅ Advance winding customization: You can include several windings in the same layer.
If you have participated in our feedback sessions, you probably ask yourself, where are my suggestions? The answer is: don't worry, we include your ideas on our road map, and sometimes we need to figure out how to integrate all the feedback in our product.
Here is our Road Map:
♎️ Circuit Simulator: At APEC we will announce the integration of an online circuit simulator in Frenetic Online, which will help users create their topologies and design the Magnetics directly. In our booth at APEC, we will do a live demo with our colleagues of Simba. We expect to launch the simulator in Beta before summer vacations.
♎️ PFC Inductor: We will include the inductance value at 0A and saturation information.
♎️ Mechanical section: This is on our high priority list. Mechanical is 50% of the work during the design stage. This section aims to avoid 100 emails between factories and engineers in terms of pinout or mechanical constraints.
♎️ The Materials stock: How much time does it take you to search on distributors for materials? We automate that work. We have our own stock.
♎️ Consider three Operating Points: Covering automotive operating conditions needs. During the suggestion stage, we will consider up to three operating points.
♎️ Temperature Model evolution: We are collecting a lot of temperature data in the laboratory to improve the current temperature model.
Last but not least
I will start writing technical content for the Newsletter of Frenetic, and I'm also creating a Lab team to do experiments only for the Newsletter of Frenetic. My first edition will be a guide of the most promising lectures during APEC 2022 at Houston.
Not only Magnetics
As most of you know, I'm a big fan of Barça team, but I also love playing tennis. I have had the luck to be in LA during the Indian Wells tournament. Then, on Saturday, We played tennis at 6:30 am, and later, we went to Indian Wells. We saw the Spanish players playing, Rafa Nadal, Carlos Alcaraz, Paula Badosa and Alexandre Zverev, training (very impressive).
