This Wednesday, January 24th, we will have “The GaN Show” at Sunnyvale. We will have a session on measuring Magnetics while having some beers.

I would use a Bode 100; it’s one of the best tools for any magnetic designer and manufacturer.
What type of measurements?
We will have a Bode 100 at the event, and I will bring a magnetic, but you can also bring any of your components.
The measurements that we can do are:
Inductance of inductors
Magnetizing inductance of transformers
Leakage Inductance
Parasitic Capacitance
Turn ratio
DC resistance
Real resistance (Not AC resistance)
Total impedance
